The retreat will include rhythmic flow of Sensual Bellydance, inviting you to reconnect with your body, awakening your sensuality, and helping to dissolve inhibitions. Latin Dance will then enliven your senses, adding a splash of energetic elation, and infusing the atmosphere with vibrant, dynamic rhythms.

Morning and evening meditation sessions will offer tranquil moments to delve deeply into your innermost thoughts, enabling a dialogue with your inner self. Yoga sessions will help to align your physical and mental well-being, encouraging mindfulness and tranquility through the practice of asanas, pranayama, and dhyana.

The retreat will also incorporate the profound vibrations of Sound Healing, using alchemy crystal singing bowls, and more. This immersive soundscape promotes a sense of peace and opens opportunities for deep healing and release.

Our Fall Equinox Retreat invites you to a balanced fusion of movement, mindfulness, and melody. Accommodations @ Kaaba Luum

Inspired by the local Mayan culture, their villas are curated and designed to represent a unique element in every home. At Kaaba Luum, they believe that true healing lies in connection. When you step into their sanctuary, it is an opportunity to deepen your connection to nature, spirit, your community, and, most importantly, your self. Our hope is that Kaaba Luum allows our guests to connect to an inspiring vision of the change they wish to see in the world.

There are 4 Villas. In each villa there are:

  • 2 Bedrooms | 3 Full Bath

  • 2 Queen Beds and 2 Queen Pullouts

2. Shared Queen Bed Occupancy (2 people, 1 shared bed)  $2,550
3. Queen Bed Pull Out (Private First Floor of entire villa, shared with one other person. Includes access to private full bathroom.)   $2,850

Please note that you can secure your spot with a non-refundable deposit of $450.00. Payment plans are available. If you are selecting a payment plan option you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance after your deposit has been received. All payments are due in full no later than August 1, 2024.

Meet your Hosts


Johanna has her BA in Political Science from American University and her MA in Communications from Johns Hopkins University. Her professional career has been immersed in digital strategy and fundraising helping nonprofits that focus on Human Rights for children and eradicating Human Trafficking. She has also spent more than a decade building and executing e-commerce programs for large well known global brands. Throughout her career she has had a yoga and meditation practice that has grounded her and helped her navigate the nuances and demands of corporate America as a BIPOC woman.


Jannelle is a choreographer, travel professional, and entrepreneur that grew up in the Maryland area and now resides in New York City and Havana, Cuba. She is the Founder of  the Groovefit Dance Company and Groove Trips LLC, both intergenerational companies that  promote community, accessibility, and sustainability.   

  • Who is the ideal student for the Yoga & Fertility series?
    Anyone who is on the road to conceiving baby or on a path to motherhood through adoption or surrogacy OR is interested in learning more about how yoga can support their fertility journey.
  • What is yoga for fertility?
    In this series we'll explore all of the ways you can create a daily yoga practice that will support you on your fertility journey. Yoga is not just about the physical "asanas" or poses, but also about bringing together the body, mind, & spirit and this series will show women on their fertility journey how to do that. We'll look at how to calm the mind, reduce stress, learn poses to support women during their cycles and how the subtle body energy can also be balanced.
  • What are the benefits of doing yoga for your fertility journey?
    This series will help prepare the entire endocrine and reproductive system to be working as effective as possible. During weeks we'll practice physical poses that help increase energy and blood flow, especially in the heart and pelvic area, stimulate the reproductive system directly by focusing on the ovaries and uterus, reduce stress levels, learn how to calm the mind and much more!
  • What are some of the topics that we’ll cover?
    During our time together we’ll explore a variety of breathing and meditation exercises that you’ll be able to take home and incorporate into your daily routines. Every class will also include a physical practice but we'll also dive into different topics each week like: journaling, mudras, affirmations, essential oils, reiki, nutrition and much more!
  • Can I take the series if I’m currently having fertility treatments?
    Please make sure to receive clearance from your doctor beforehand. But yes, let me know on the first day of class so that we can make the appropriate accommodations to your practice to support your fertility journey during our time together.
  • What resources are there around yoga & fertility?
    Yoga Can Improve Assisted Reproduction Technology Outcomes in Couples With Infertility. The reviewed studies showed that yoga can provide stress management for patients with infertility, with beneficial effects on fertility, helping couples give birth.
