Guest Blog: A Love Letter to the Woman Who Feels "Off"

A note from Johanna: At Luna Serenity, we believe women deserve spaces where truth, science, and soul meet. This month, I’m honored to welcome Dr. Noelia Rodriguez — an Internal Medicine and Metabolic Health expert whose work I admire — as a guest voice on The Vibe Edit. Dr. Rodriguez will also be co-leading our upcoming Wise Woman Wellness Workshop Series in the DMV, where together we’ll explore how stress, hormones, and the nervous system shape the perimenopause journey. Consider this post your first step into that conversation — a glimpse of the clarity and compassion she brings to her practice.

Hi beautiful soul,

We haven’t met yet — I’m Dr. Noelia Rodriguez, and I’m so honored to be stepping into this space with you.

I help women understand their bodies in a way many of us were never taught — with clarity, compassion, and truth.

My work lives at the intersection of science and intuition, where integrative medicine meets soul-aligned healing. And nothing lights me up more than helping women finally feel like themselves again.

Maybe you’ve been feeling off lately.

Maybe your energy is inconsistent.

Your sleep is unpredictable.

Your moods seem harder to regulate.

You’re doing “all the right things” — but your body still feels like it’s working against you.

ree

First, let me say this: You’re not crazy. You’re not alone. And most importantly — you’re not broken. What you’re feeling could very likely be the effects of stress and hormone imbalance, especially if you’re navigating the transition of perimenopause (whether you realize it or not).

In my practice, I’ve seen again and again how chronic stress and elevated cortisol can ripple through the body — impacting everything from metabolism and sleep to thyroid function and emotional stability. And here’s something many women aren’t told: When cortisol stays high for too long, your body eventually can’t keep up. It begins to downshift — leaving you depleted, foggy, wired-but-tired, or flat-out burned out. This state is often referred to as adrenal fatigue — where your body has been in survival mode for so long, it no longer knows how to rest.

I’ve not only seen this in my patients — I’ve walked through it myself.

Even as a doctor, I struggled to get real answers from the very system I worked in.

I was told to eat better, exercise more, and lose weight — as if I wasn’t already doing everything I could. What I needed wasn’t generic advice. I needed clarity, and a plan that truly supported healing — not just survival.

That’s why I’m beyond excited to be partnering with Johanna for a transformational workshop that blends the wisdom of integrative health with the power of nervous system regulation and embodiment.

Together, we’ll help you make sense of what’s happening in your body, reconnect with your inner rhythm, and walk away with tools that actually help.

Healing doesn’t have to feel like another job.

It can feel like coming home.

I can’t wait to meet you,

~Dr. Noelia Rodriguez, MD

Closing Note

If Dr. Rodriguez’s words resonate with you, know that this is just the beginning. On September 20th, we’ll be gathering for the Wise Woman Wellness Workshop — a restorative and empowering space designed to help you navigate perimenopause with more clarity and compassion. Together, Dr. Rodriguez and I will weave science with soul, guiding you through both the why behind what your body is experiencing and the practices that can bring you back into rhythm.

And stay tuned here on The Vibe Edit — our next blog will expand on this conversation, blending Dr. Rodriguez’s expertise with my own mind-body perspective.

Reserve your spot for the workshop here — and join us in reclaiming this season of life as a powerful rite of passage.
