A collective act of care, learning, and legacy.
In a quiet village along the coast of El Salvador, something beautiful is unfolding.
As part of our upcoming Joyful Awakening Yoga Retreat in Mizata this June, we’re partnering with a local school and Antiresort to build something that will outlast our time there: a library for the children of the community.

This isn’t a donation drop or a fleeting gesture. It’s a collective offering rooted in reciprocity—one that recognizes that as we go to rest and heal, we also return something of meaning to the land and the people holding us.
Why We’re Doing This
Growing up in a close-knit immigrant family, I learned early on what it meant to be resourceful - and how education can become a lifeline.
In Mizata, the local school serves as a vital source of support, structure, and inspiration. But like many rural communities, access to books and quiet study space is limited.
We asked: What would it look like to not just visit—but contribute?
From that question came a vision: A simple, welcoming library. Filled with books and materials for all ages. Complete with shelves, tables, and cozy reading corners
Our Mission
To create a community-driven library that provides students in Mizata with access to books, educational materials, and a peaceful space to study and dream.
Fundraising Goal: $1,000
We’re raising funds to support:
Construction of the library structure
Shelving, seating, and reading nooks
Books, art supplies, and learning tools for all age groups
Every dollar moves us closer to our goal:
$20 = New reading materials
$50 = Shelves and cozy reading corners
$100 = Furnish the study area
Because Healing Is Not Just Individual
At Luna Serenity, we believe that self-care and collective care are intertwined.
This library is an extension of that belief—a bridge between rest and responsibility, between receiving and returning.
Thank you for helping us bring books, beauty, and belonging to Mizata.
Vibrational Affirmation:
As I receive, I resonate. As I resonate, I return. My healing echoes outward—becoming shelter, story, and sacred space.
With gratitude, Johanna
