Why Sound Healing Works

Sound-based practices are more than spiritual—they are physiological.


A 2016 study in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that participants who attended a sound bath experienced significant decreases in tension, anxiety, depression, and physical pain, while increasing feelings of clarity and peace (Goldsby et al., 2016).


Sound can shift the brain into alpha and theta brainwave states, which support emotional regulation, creativity, and deeper processing—making space for insight and restoration.


When paired with humming or breathwork, these sessions stimulate the vagus nerve, improving heart rate variability and helping the body return to a state of calm.


Sound creates the conditions for healing without requiring participants to “perform” wellness. It meets them exactly where they are.
